READER COMMENTS ABOUT THE ADVENTURES OF LITTLE MOUSE:
Daphne VanStavern: This book is quality literature! Little Mouse teaches the life skills of problem solving and persistence. We need to make a movie for Little Mouse. If kids grew up learning quality skills from Little Mouse through their entertainment, this world would be a much better place and our children would be better equipped for success!! I highly recommend it to all!!! (Former Language Arts teacher/ Current Mom of 4)
Janet Karsten: "Love The Adventures of Little Mouse! As I was reading, I imagined the words as part of an animated Disney movie, so descriptive and poetic. I get it that parents would be charmed by it."
MHJ: What a great teaching tool for teachers of elementary students.
TSS: I read The Adventures of Little Mouse and "I loved it!"
Bryce Leo VanStavern: (beginning seventh grade): "It was really cool. This awesome book was always grabbing my attention. I never got bored of it. It was interesting to see what happened to Little Mouse on his adventure, along with teaching me lessons in real life. I knew all the words."
*****5-star Amazon rating: Sheila McDaniel: "This is a brilliant book! I found myself not being able to put it down. The chapters were one intensive chapter after another, but through it all, Little Mouse remained calm and deliberate, struggling to save his home. I found myself rooting for bear and the other animals that were helping him, and it did end well. Also, while reading this book, I found myself actually smelling the sites and scents along Little Butte Creek. Talk about getting into the book! This is a fun and easy book to read. I will be reading it to my Grand-daughter who is 7 years old. I highly recommend this book."
Mary S. F.: "Congratulations! It's a great book!"
*****5-star Amazon Rating: Mary Ellen Mallan: "Enjoyed all of Little Mouse’s Adventures. Will be reading with my grandchildren over the Thanksgiving during their visit."
***** 5 Star Amazon Rating: "My grandkids and I love the book, ages 2-12. Very life enforcing and makes them think about a problem and ask "What would Little Mouse Do?" Can't hardly wait till the next book comes out. Good book to read with your kids no matter the age."

***** 5-Star Amazon Rating: Rocki: "Delightful!"
***** 5-Star Amazon Rating: "It's a fun book while learning at the same time for 12-14 yrs old. It has science, everyday living with technology in it. Lots of facts about the area around Little Mouse. Also a calming and beautiful story with humor thrown into the mix. Would recommend this to parents and kids alike."
MP: "I love Little Mouse."
Charles McDaniel: "Really got into the the story. There was a lot there but I got it. Felt like I was right there. Great descriptions. It was a fun book to read. No . . . it was a super fun book. Lots of humor. The print size and paper color made it easy to read and it didn't tire my eyes. The Shauna character was insightful and a very special girl. I really enjoyed the book."
*****5-star Amazon Rating: Sheila McDaniel: "The imagination that this book takes one through is fantastic and not just for the youth."
"Where was this book when I was growing up? This is a book about life, and it doesn't end when one turns 18 years old. It is written in a very soft, calming, and thoughtful manner. The imagination that this book takes one through is fantastic and not just for the youth, but all ages. It speaks of the many facets of a diamond, but it teaches us that we are the composition of many facets of our lives. I find myself going back to this wonderful book many times and using it as a reference book. Actually, this brilliant book is for children from ages 10 through 110 years old! I can't think of a more wonderful gift for Christmas or whatever the occasion to give a young person! It's the book of LIFE!"

READER COMMENTS ABOUT Book #1 and BOOK #2:
RJS: "LM is pretty smart . . . pretty wise, with lots of good advice. Pretty smart little mouse you have there....."
RJS: "Little Mouse has some good sayings."
Nancy Marie Barnes, Ph.D. (wife of author): "These unique and multi-layered books can be read and enjoyed by pre-teens, teens and adults alike. Readers of all ages fall in love with Little Mouse and the lever in the first book, and then readers learn about and internalize Little Mouse's lever-model in the second book, working towards personal excellence. Both books are written at the 7th & 8th grade levels, so an adult will have to read and discuss the books for the younger "reader." There is much substance in both books, with science, nature, enriching language, history, morals & values, clever phrasing, with a bit of laugh-out-loud humor all mixed in and much more. Both books share wonderful, important life concepts in an enjoyable, understandable manner via Little Mouse. I may be the author's wife, but, as a retired educator, I believe that these two books will become "classics" and are important readings for all people, young and old."

I'm really enjoying Little Mouse's thoughts on Sundays. This has been a really rough week for us, and I realize that Little Mouse's application of thinking has infiltrated my brain! Could it be that I'm actually teachable at my ripe old age?
